Perfect Memento in Strict Sense (東方求聞史紀, pronounced Touhou Gumon Shiki) is the second official Touhou fanbook. Compared to Bohemian Archive in Japanese Red, it is quite serious in tone and focuses mainly on factual information about the world of Gensokyo. Here we see Gensokyo from the perspective of the (almost) normal human Hieda no Akyu, a quite different realm where things are described in terms of 'threat levels' and most youkai are things to be feared and avoided, rather than laughed at. Nevertheless, it is revealed as a strange and wonderful place.
It also comes with a CD containing three original FM-style music tracks and some desktop wallpapers.
One month before it went on sale, "Memorizable Gensokyo" (a manga based upon Perfect Memento) was published in the December 2006 issue of the Comic REX magazine. It was drawn by Aki Eda and written by ZUN.
When it was put on sale, some shops added papers written by Aki Eda and ZUN.
