Reshino Oshiromi[]

Reshino Oshiromi (鴛呂実 レシノ Oshiromi Reshino) is the boss of Stage 4. Contrary to the character's design, Reshino is actually male.

Concept[]

Name

Reshino (レシノ) may refer to "Command over four" (令四の). Oshiromi (鴛呂実) means "male duck", "backbone" and "truth" (鴛、呂&実).

Design

Reshino's portrait shows him with red eyes, long purple hair, black and white wings and a devil's tail. He wears a white blouse with a black frilly skirt. Over these he wears an apron decorated with numerous Masonic symbols: gavels and trowels on the chest part of the apron, while a square and compass adorn the lower part of the apron. His hat has small jewels of varying colors, with four large shards colored red, green, yellow and blue placed along the cardinal directions. In his right hand he holds a rainbow-colored bow and arrow. On his feet he wears red tengu-geta.

Ability[]

The story suggests that Reshino is one of the few entities in the dream world that can help Himeka awake from her dream. His weapon being Cupid's Bow also gives him the ability to enthral others into his service. This is how he became Mujina, Furin and Yumemi's master.

Story[]

Mrs. Estacion

Additional Informaion[]

  • Despite being male, he does have the title of "Mrs." like the other rulers of the dream world.
  • The masonic symbols on Reshino's outfit can be seen as a hint to his true gender, as the Order of Freemasons only grants membership to men.

Fandom[]

  • Much like with Yukari Yakumo and Byakuren Hijiri, some fans have extended the '-n' to Reshino, calling him "Reshinon".
