"Guest stars" (客星) are what ancient Chinese astronomers call comets, novae, and supernovae. They are "guests" when compared against the fixed stars.

Spell Card 66 to 69 are a reference to Moses's crossing of the Red Sea in order to lead the Israelites away from Egypt, as described in the Exodus of the Old Testament.

The phrase "stars fall on" usually means something good, but Sanae is indignant.
