There's a few machine/robot characters that don't fit into anything here. Evil Eye Sigma, Flower Tank, and Ruukoto could probably use something, but they're close enough to "dolls" (because they're artificial) that maybe the doll entry here could be renamed or maybe just include other artificial characters on that page.

There's a lot of "demon" characters too (at least 5 of them), but none of them have a bestiary entry. Of course, not much seems to be known about what makes them what/who they are though.

Lastly, there's enough "witch" characters (I count 3) that I think they can be included on the magician page, but I don't feel like doing that. Even if it's never been clear what ZUN considers a witch as opposed to a magician, or if he thinks they're the same thing. It should be okay to have a few notes about them on the magician page. -Redpanda

There is no distinction between witch and magician in Japanese (or in English for that matter). I'd say they should all be changed to magician for consistency. Pilpsie
Well, there's mazyo, and then there's mahôtukai... In Japanese it is explicitly so, but I'd say that witches would tend to be female in English, too. However, we all know how it is with Gensôkyô and males. Apart from that, the difference between the two is context-sensitive, and I would agree that there is none as far as Tôhô is concerned. --爆龍 00:12, 17 August 2007 (PDT)

About Chen and Ran.... They are not really "demigoddesses" yet... I'm not sure if there is a fitting translation for Shikigami at all. Maybe familiar?

Yeah, familiar would be the best western equivalent for shikigami

Hmm, I'm starting to think maybe it would be a good idea to give each term their own small page, in order to make it extremely easy to cross-reference from scripts or profiles.

Any thoughts?

"Earth person" is to "human" as "Moon person" is to "Lunarian"? Lunarian was used by FF4, I think... I like calling them Lunatics, personally, reminds me of Moetan's "My lunatic friends! Glad to see you again!" catchphrase. Alas, Reisen is the only official lunatic.

Well, Earth-people aren't necessarily "humans", but also youkai and, well, anything originally from earth, I suppose. Earthlings. Terrans.

But anyway, there were many suggestions on the IRC channel about this some time ago. Moonies. Lunans. Moonlings. Moon-race. Type-moons (well, not really this one). Lunarese? Lunites? Moonmen? Lunatics?

I wish more people were here to discuss this. Lunarians is sounding pretty good so far...

Also, is Moetan using "lunatic" or "maniac" for "otaku"? And aren't Eirin and Kaguya officially from the moon as well?

I'd use Moon-race or... ...

I'd use Moon-race.

Everything else just sounds silly or racist. XD

I don't think non-humans are what people typically have in mind when they say "people". "Moon people" may refer to human-equivalent type creatures, which may also explain why Reisen is a moon rabbit but not a moon person.

It's possible that moon people aren't the dominant race living on the moon, but "people" is a close approximation of what they would be called if they were living on Earth.

So, yeah, I believe that moon people are roughly analogous to humans.
