お騒がせ演奏隊プリズムリバー三姉妹の記事を書くと必ずと言っていいほど、三女リリカ・プリズムリバー（ポルターガイスト）が奏でる不思議な音についての問い合わせが多く寄せられる。 |
I said I needed to write an article about the noisy family of the Prismriver Sisters, but I only recently met with the youngest sister, Lyrica Prismriver (Poltergeist) who plays mysterious sounds, after sending repeated requests. | |

あの自然に存在しない不思議な音はどうやって作った物なのか、そもそも何の音なのか、と興味は尽きない。 |
From the start I had an unwaning interest in how she makes these strange sounds so freely yet aren't supposed to exist. | |

今回はその疑問に答えるべく突撃インタビューと検証を行った。 |
Today my doubts were answered as I went to verify them through a forceful interview. | |

そもそもプリズムリバー三姉妹を知らない方の為に説明すると、長女のルナサ・プリズムリバーがヴァイオリン、次女のメルラン・プリズムリバーさんがトランペット、そして三女のリリカ・プリズムリバーさんがキーボードを使って、色々なところでライブを行う演奏隊である。 |
For the uninitiated, the Prismriver Sisters are comprised of the oldest sister, Lunasa Prismriver who plays violin, middle sister, Merlin Prismriver who likes the trumpet, and the youngest sister Lyrica Prismriver who uses the keyboard. They hold live concerts in many places in Gensokyo. | |

非常に純度の高いというか、音程がはっきりしている音が多く、癖のない音が多いのも特徴だ。 |
The sound quality is very high, and it can play many sounds at the distinct intervals. In fact these many faultless sounds are it's speciality. | |

殆どの者はその音を他で聴いたことがない。 |
Nearly everyone who listens to it cannot hear anything else. | |

「このキーボード自体は幻想みたいなものね～。外の世界から無くなった音を奏でる楽器の幽霊、とでも言うのかしら。音が出る仕組みはよく判らないけど、弾けば出るから問題ないのよ。音も楽器も、外の世界から無くなれば幻想になるし、この世から無くなれば幽霊にもなるの。私の音はは[sic]幻想の音、あの世の音。この世のみんなが聴いたことがないのは当然ね～」 |
"This keyboard is is like a dream come true. Many ghosts from the outside world said they haven't heard anything like it. I don't really understand how it makes the sounds, but as long as the shots come out there's no problem. If there's no sound or instruments in the outside world, there can't be any dreams. It's the same for this world, except it's for the ghosts. My sounds are the sounds of illusions, the sounds of the other world. It makes perfect sense for everyone to want to listen to them in this world, yeah? | |

それも音の幽霊と言うべき物で、昔はこの世でも普通に聴けたが、何らかの理由で今では聴けなくなった音なのかも知れない。 |
But if what ghosts say is true, these sounds are like the sounds people would listen to in this world a long time ago. However, they didn't know the reason why these sounds cannot be heard today. | |

そしてキーボードはあくまで音の幽霊の象徴でしかないという。 |
And there is nothing else that symbolizes the sounds of the ghosts like the keyboard. | |

That's not necessary at all. |

音の偉さを認めて初めて貴方の功労が認められるのです |
We will only approve of the remarkability of the sound after we approve your services. |

音がどうやって出てるだなんてあんたに判るって言うの？ たとえば稲妻が落ちる音、風が木々を揺らす音、ひぐらしが鳴く音、どれ一つ取ったって説明できないじゃん |
So you're saying you want to know how sounds are made? How about the sound of thunder, the sound of the wind rustling through the trees, the sound of cicadas chirping? I bet you can't explain a single one. |

Right? That's why the user making the sounds is more remarkable than the object making the sounds. |

ただ、さっき上げたような音は、自然が作り出す音でしょう？ だから自然が偉い。そういう音を使っても私は全然偉くない |
It was common for sounds from some time ago to be made naturally, correct? That's why natural is remarkable. If I were to use those kinds of sounds it wouldn't be remarkable at all. |

So the question is if your sounds are remarkable? |

自然に無い音、幻想の音。この世にない音、死を迎えた音。こういった音は使える者が誰も居ないじゃん。つまり私は偉いのよ |
Unnatural sounds, illusionary sounds. Sounds not of this world, sounds that welcome the dead. There's no one else who can use those kinds of sounds. That's why I'm remarkable. |

偉いのですね。ところで、その幻想の音についてなんですが、どうして貴方がそれを使えるようになったのでしょうか？ |
Remarkable indeed. By the way, about these illusionary sounds, how did you come to be able to use them? |

どうしてって、私は騒霊よ？ ポルターガイストよ？ 使えて当然、使えなければ不自然 |
You mean how I became a noisy ghost? A Poltergeist? It's only natural I can use them. If I didn't use them it would be unnatural. |

So that's just how it is, huh? I don't think I'm satisfied with that answer. |

There's more to us than simply being noisy ghosts. It's more like we are ghosts of noisiness. |

騒がしさは生き物の音。それは想い、感情、躁鬱の音。その生き物が想いを爆発させるときに出るのが騒がしさね。その騒がしさだけが独立するとポルターガイストになるのよ。偉いでしょう？ |
The noisiness is the sound of living things. It's the sound of feelings, emotions, and mood swings. The noisiness comes from an explosion of emotions from the living. By this noisiness alone, we able to support ourselves as poltergeists. Isn't that remarkable? |

姉さん達は感情の起伏を表現するから、私は残りの想いを曲にする。想いは幻想に繋がり、姉さん達と私が合わさった騒がしさは生き物を創るの。その生き物とは、私達を生んだ音楽の霊、曲霊の事ね。偉いでしょ？ |
From my sisters' changing moods I can combine that with my own remaining emotions and express it as a song. The emotions are linked through dreams, and me and my sisters can create the noisiness of living things. The living call the music we create the music of ghosts, ghost songs. Remarkable, isn't it? |

So you can't enjoy music unless you can understand it? If you don't understand the sounds you're hearing it doesn't lift your spirits? You can't decide if the skill of a musical group is great or not and you never talk about songs? I can't imagine how small the entrance into a heart like that must be... That's almost like a human's. |
