Well, one day I listened to some of GCF and decided to go get some of their cds. I certainly was not disappointed when I first listened to this cd. The variety of instruments used is fantastic, creating a wonderful blend of real and fake. The cd has trancy songs, in your face tracks, and so much else. GCF isn't afraid to play with a melody, add a small harmony on, or arrange a commonly ignore track. With this cd, they take EoSD's soundtrack to a different level.
- 02. ほおずきみたいに紅い魂
Wonderful synths are mixed all over to produce an entrancing remix of the first stage, completely sucking you into a fantasy world. The percussion keeps it upbeat, though not bringing it into overdrive. A fantastic way to begin the game.
- 06. 明治・七年の上海アリス
Both synths and piano are mixed together, leading into another track that sucks you into its own world, and never lets you leave. Meiling's theme is beautifull retained, while being twisted here or there. The song climaxes fantastically, after a small moment of doubt.
- 10. 月時計 ～ ルナダイアル
This track starts amazingly quiet, eerie, making you wonder where it's going to go. The bells are fantastically eerie, but suddenly, more and more gets layered on. It comes to an amazing climax of synths. A beautiful track, my second favorite.
- 15. 紅楼 ～ Eastern Dream
This track is amazing. There is simply no other way to explain it. The synths all come together for a fantastic electronic arrangement of the amazing ending of this game. Some cds end on a low, quiet, or tired note. Such could not be farther from the truth with this CD.
