Review

Genres Metal

One of heavily arranged albums. Rather than rearranging instruments and adjusting tempos, this album reconstructs each scores from scratch, loosely follows the original melody. This album can understood as a 'tribute album'. Sound tone and overall direction resemble Animetal Marathon projects in some way, but in more serious attitude.

Distorted guitars, mercilessly pounding drums, blazing speed make this album a masterpiece to heavy metal fans, but for those non-heavy metal fans this album is merely a source of earache.

Standout tracks

03. クリスタライズシルバー
The real starter of this album. Heavy, dark guitar riffs followed by galloping drum beats. Blazing twin guitars harmony where one guitar leads the main melody and another guitar supports with heavy riffs.

05. 幽霊楽団 ~ Phantom Ensemble
One of heavily arranged tracks. Rhythm, melody, sound are arranged as much as they like, resulted in rare occasion of original melodies. But the general atmosphere of original score is anyhow still remains.

09. 幽雅に咲かせ 墨染の桜
Very calm, relaxing little acoustic guitar instrumental track. Very short track (1 minute). Slowly sets the mood for...

10. 幽雅に咲かせ 墨染の桜 ~ Border of Life
Immediate blast-beat of drumming and raging distorted guitar riffs opens the best arrange of Yuyuko's main theme. The only arrange that fully captures the aggressive, tense, elegant and passionate atmosphere of the original. After 3 minutes of furious galloping, it suddenly calms down to the single piano tune. Slow, nostalgic melody of 90 second again accelates to.... Unbelievably aggressive, tense, elegant, passionate harmony of heavy metal and symphonic keyboards.
